It’s hard to imagine how the upcoming uncut gems movie will be anything like the uncut movie.
But in a new interview with Vulture, Gem alum Ben Affleck says he hopes the unplugged gem will be a different kind of film.
“We don’t want it to be a one-size-fits-all thing,” Affleck said.
“I’d love it to feel like it’s the whole of the universe, but we’re not sure yet.”
The uncut gem’s not the only new gem in development this summer, as Affleck and his producer Kevin Feige are also working on a “superhero” movie that is being called “Marvel vs. DC.”
And, while the movie will likely be set in the Marvel Cinematic Universe, Affleck has already confirmed that the “Superhero” sequel will be set a few decades before the MCU movie.
“It’s a different story,” he told Vulture.
“This movie is set in DC, and it’s very much a superhero movie.
It’s about superheroes, and a very big hero, who’s on a crusade to save the world.”
