Juventus, Atletico Madrid and Napoli are the most successful clubs in the global gem market with at least 100 million euros ($122 million) in revenue in the first half of the year.
They are followed by Manchester United, Bayern Munich, Arsenal, Chelsea, Paris Saint-Germain, Paris St-Gladbach and Tottenham Hotspur.
However, this is not all the money that is being made.
Some clubs are getting more money in the last quarter than in the whole year.
The club that is the most profitable in the quarter is AC Milan.
In fact, they earned more than $1.4 billion in the year and have the highest turnover.
In the second half of 2016, the Italian giants earned $1 billion, a rise of 30% on the previous year.
AC Milan are the fifth richest team in the world with a turnover of $2.8 billion.
In addition, the new season has started in a huge way.
This year the number of players who have been capped has increased by a whopping 50% to 3,200.
A lot of them are from overseas.
The number of clubs with a contract extension is up to 12, with only Barcelona, Real Madrid and Bayern Munich in the top 10.
The biggest earners among the top 20 are Barcelona ($4.4 million), Real Madrid ($4 million) and Bayern ($4).
The rest are either from the top 30 or from the bottom 20.
Atletico de Madrid is the biggest spenders, spending $3.3 million.
They have the second-highest turnover of any club in the league at $1 million.
In comparison, Napoli, Juventus, Bayern and Paris Saint Germain spend a total of $5.1 million each, followed by Paris Saint Gladbach, Bayern München and Arsenal.
At least a third of the revenues of the top five clubs is from foreign owners.
In 2017, Monaco, Monaco-based team FC Bayern MüNchen, have the third-largest market share in the Bundesliga with an estimated 11.7%.
They are also the only club that has a contract with a 10-year deal.
In 2018, they will be the biggest team in Europe with a market share of 18.7%, according to data provided by German Bundesliga team Hamburg.
At the moment, only Arsenal have the most foreign owners, owning 7.5% of the club’s shares.
The majority of the clubs in Europe are owned by foreign players, with the exception of the Netherlands, which is a minority shareholder in seven clubs.
The following clubs are owned or controlled by foreign investors: Manchester United ($1.9 million), Juventus ($1 million), AC Milan ($1m), Arsenal ($1million), Tottenham Hotspurs ($1,300,000) and Manchester City ($1billion).
Clubs in Spain, Italy and Germany have also the biggest share of foreign owners in the Spanish league.
Only Barcelona and Real Madrid are the largest investors in Italy with 10% of shares.
In France, Barcelona, Manchester City, Bayern, Arsenal and Real are the two clubs with the biggest shares in the French league.
The French clubs are mainly owned by businessmen with high net worths, with Juventus, Arsenal , Paris Saint George and Paris St Germain being the richest in the sport.
The highest turnover in the Premier League was achieved by Manchester City with $4.6 million in the second quarter.
In Spain, Real Betis, Barcelona and Manchester United have the biggest revenues, with Paris Saint Germain coming in third.
Barcelona is also the most valuable team in Italy and the second largest in Spain.
The average turnover of the biggest clubs is $7.4million, according to the Financial Times.
However this is a small number compared to the total turnover of all football clubs in European leagues.
In this respect, the most money spent in the entire year was spent by Juventus, the fourth-most spent club.
This is a result of the huge growth of the Italian Serie A club, which has risen from the second tier in the 1990s to the top of the table.
However the club had the largest turnover of anyone in the financial world last year with $3 billion.
This figure is higher than the turnover of teams in England and Spain.
